What a difference a week makes! A perfect Winter’s day greeted the 39 ladies who played in the Stroke and Putting events held today for both the 9 (15 players) and 18 (24 players) hole ladies. Given there are many who have now headed North or elsewhere in search of warmer weather it was a very good turn out today. As there was no golf last week the June Monthly Medal was postponed to today for the 18 hole ladies and the play off between Barbara Bright and Lyn Greer was held to see who would represent Safety Beach GC in the Silver Spoon event at Keysborough GC on Monday 18th November 2019. Congratulations to Lyn Greer who was the winner of the play off. Due to the heavy underfoot conditions as a result of all the recent rain it was hard work out there as the scores below indicate:
18 Hole Players – B Grade Winner: Linda Fredricson (22) Nett 75, Runner Up: Judith Whittaker (30) Nett 77. C Grade Winner: Kim Reynolds (33) Nett 77, Runner Up: Deb Sein (38) Nett 81. Congratulations to all ladies.
9 Hole Players – Winner: Gerri Robson (42) Nett 37, Runner Up: Dot Crompton (45) Nett 43.
NTP’s – 2nd Hole: Jean Harle, 12th Hole: Liz Gregory.
Putting – 18 Hole Players: Joan Spence with 26 Putts. 9 Hole Players: Joan Davies with 17 Putts on count back from Marj Burridge & Di Tullberg, a great contest there!
Pro Balls – 18 Hole Players: Viv Goodson, Lyn Greer, Michele Cooke, Joan Spence, Val Morrison & Helen Danson. 9 Hole Players: Joan Davies, Susan Driver & Barbara Clarke. Well done everyone.
Next week’s event is Par, the last Par event until Spring, hoorah I hear! Remember to register by Thursday night, see you all next week.
