Ladies Golf Results

Tuesday 1st February – Monthly Medal & 1st Round Club Champs

The day started calm & humid but finished windy & cooler thanks to a change that came through late morning. A total of 46  ladies (28*18 hole players & 18*9 hole players) were playing Stroke & counting putts on Tuesday 1st February & also playing in the 1st round of Club Championship events. The 18-hole ladies were competing for the Tuesday February Monthly Medal & to be the first of five qualifiers for the Silver Spoon too, so it was a busy day.

Results for the day are below.

18 Hole Event – 28 Players

B Grade Winner ($30 voucher): Barbara Bright (241 Nett 67.

Runner Up ($15 voucher): Gerri Robson (31) Nett 68.

C Grade Winner ($30 voucher): Lou Verstraelen (37) Nett 66. Congratulations to Lou on her first Monthly Medal win with an excellent score & also for being the first to qualify for the Silver Spoon play-off later in the year.

Runner Up ($15 voucher): Val Morrison (33) Nett 69.

Pro Ball Winners (Nett 72 or better): Joan Spence, Angela Olarenshaw, Anne Anderson, Kathy Iredale, Liz Gregory, Judith Whittaker & Denise Law.

Putting Winner (2 balls): Barbara Bright with 25 putts.

Neatest Card Winner: Vicki Mallcott.

9 Hole Event – 18 Players

Winner ($20 voucher): Dot Crompton (45) Nett 34 on count back.

Runner Up ($10 voucher): Barbara Sargent (36) Nett 34 on count back from Cheryl Saker. Great contest & very good scores ladies.

Pro Ball winners (Nett 38 or better): Cheryl Saker, Pat Tindal, Angela Hunter, Glenn Barber & Enid Hamilton.

Putting Winner (2 balls): Dot Crompton with 15 Putts.

Neatest Card Winner: Judy Ireland.

NTP 6th Hole (1 ball): Gerri Robson.

NTP 12th  Hole (1 ball): Barbara Bright.

If you were not at presentations to collect your Pro Ball, please check in the Pro Shop.

There will be a raffle next week with 1st Prize a $50 voucher from Torello Farm (sell fresh veges, honey, meat, fruit & plants), 2nd prize a voucher for Peninsula Hot Springs & 3rd prize a bottle of wine with a glass. Tickets will hopefully be on sale from tomorrow at $2 each or 3 for $5. See Susan Driver & Lee Grubb or check at the bar.

Remember to still book for golf next Tuesday 8th February by Friday night (4th) or you will not be in the draw. If you did not play on Tuesday you can still play next week. The seeded draw (vertical based on gross results from Tuesday) will be emailed on Saturday all going well & One Golf will reflect the draw. A copy will also be in the Pro Shop by Saturday afternoon.
