Ladies Golf Results – Tuesday 23rd November 2021

At last a day more like Spring but with a little humidity added. Very little wind & the course was in fabulous condition meaning there were some excellent scores.

A total of 44  ladies (27*18 hole players & 16*9 hole players) played in the Stableford events today. Both were the 2nd round of trophy events – the Senga McAleer for the 18 hole players & the Captain’s Trophy for the 9 hole players. In addition it was also the 1st round of the Captain’s Trophy for the 18 hole players so a busy day.

We also welcomed a visitor, Sheree Coghill, from Corowa Golf Club.

Apologies for not having the birthday book with me, I did know there were some this week. Happy Birthday to Sharon De Haan for today & Cathy Roussis for Saturday 27th. I also forgot to advise that Cathy requires an operation in a couple of weeks so we wish her well with that & a speedy return to golf.

18 Hole Event – 27 Players

B Grade Winner ($30 voucher): Barbara Bright (22) 38 points, Runner Up ($15 voucher) Judith Whittaker (24) 34 points. Great score Barbara, I’m sure you handicap will go back down again quickly if you keep that up!

C Grade Winner ($30 voucher): Lou Verstraelen (40) 36 points, Runner Up ($15 voucher) Jackie Mazoletti (43) 34 points. Well done Lou, bet you’re pleased you didn’t throw those clubs in the lake last week!

Pro Ball Winners (31 points or better): Wendy Simmons, Gerri Robson, Linda Fredricson, Maureen Cousins, Joan Spence & Corina Cross. Lyn Greer just missed out on count back!

The Senga McAleer winner for 2021 is Corina Cross with a 2 round total of 2 Down, congratulations! I forgot to mention the runners up yesterday also (sorry fuzzy brain still) but well done to Anne Anderson with a 2 round score of 4 Down.

9 Hole Event – 16 Players

Winner ($15 voucher): Angela Hunter (45) 20 points, Runner Up (2 balls): Robyn Hubble (40) 18 points. Both great scores on the back 9 ladies, well done!

Pro Ball winners (13 points or better): Sue O’Connor, Merilyn Williams, Cheryl Saker & Enid Hamilton. Pam Scholtz was the unlucky lady to miss out on count back.

The 9-hole Captain’s Trophy winner was Sue O’Connor with a 2 round total of 4 down from runner up Robyn Hubble with 5 down. Congratulations to Sue.

NTP 4th Hole: Linda Fredricson.

NTP 17th Hole: Kathy Iredale

Another task I overlooked was to present Gerri Robson with the Saturday Monthly Medal won with a fantastic nett 64 on the 20th. I did present it to Gerri before she left though.

Thanks to Lee for the photos of the winners below.

Remember to book for next Tuesday 30th by Friday night (26th) & I will send the draw on Saturday. Both events are Stroke/Putting & the 2nd round of the Captain’s Trophy for the  18 hole ladies. Remember it’s the Ladies AGM on Tuesday also after golf!

Enjoy the rest of the week & stay safe.
