Ladies Golf Results – Tuesday 30th June 2020

A very frosty but calm & clear Winter’s day greeted the 35 ladies (19*18 hole players & 16*9 hole players) who played in the Ambrose events yesterday. The course was still very wet so once again General Area tee up was allowed. There is more rain forecast in the next few days so it is unlikely much golf will be possible. Let’s hope July is not too wet this year!

It was lovely to see so many ladies in the clubhouse after golf yesterday. While we are still unable to hold presentations due to the restrictions on numbers inside, at least there is an opportunity to enjoy a drink & a chat after golf.

Results for the day are below, congratulations to all the winners and well done to all those who played.

18 Holes – Winners: Judith Whittaker, Colleen Blackmore & Val Morrison (15.833) Nett 62.167. Runners Up: Anita Powell, Cathy Roussis & Maureen Cousins (19) Nett 63.

9 Holes – Winners: Jackie Mazoletti, Lina Battisti, Caroline Lester & Glenn Barber (10.875) Nett 30.125. Runners Up: Enid Hamilton, Marj Burridge, Pat Webster & Sue Gordon (10.875) Nett 32.125. Nice to see some of our newer lady members having a win!

The 18 hole winners receive a $15 Pro Shop Voucher each while the 9 hole winners receive a $10 Pro Shop voucher each. I will give these to Shane to process to your accounts this week. Runners Up receive 2 balls each and lucky card winners, a ball each. Pro ball winners now receive a golf ball from Shane. All prizes will be in the Pro Shop by Friday morning.

Well done to the following 18 hole players: Cheryl Westcott, Vicki Mallcott & Linda Fredricson who win a Pro Ball each and to the 9 hole Pro Ball winners: Ros Champion, Barbara Sargent, Joan Coombs & Renate Weiner.

Congratulations to Joan Coombs & Sue White who were the Lucky Card winners for this week. All players were allocated a number & 2 numbers were drawn to decide this week’s lucky card winners.

Remember to book online for Saturday if you want to play & for Tuesday next week as well. I have changed the Tuesday event to Ambrose but 2 Person this time which should be fun. That is if the course is playable!

Take care & keep warm.
