Ladies Golf Results – Tuesday 8th October 2019

On Tuesday it was the ladies guest day and also Tee Off for Breast Cancer fundraising day. The ladies never seem to have any luck with the weather for their special golf days and this one was no exception as a cool showery day greeted everyone. Despite the weather, only 3 ladies chose not to play while 50 very keen, or crazy, golfers went out to play and supported this worthy cause by doing so. Luckily for all, the day was not as bad as forecast with only a few passing showers, a cool breeze towards the end but no hail or thunder! Judging by the noise and comments in the clubrooms on completion of play, all those who participated had a great time anyway which was so good to see.

This day was only possible due to the hard work of every member of the Ladies Committee who all did their share to ensure the day went smoothly. A big thanks to Faye McCrystal & Neil Fredricson who were on the 4th hole collecting donations for a chance to land inside the circle on the green and win a special prize. We appreciate you both being prepared to do this on such a cold day. Thanks also to Ian & Ralph for putting up the Tee Off for Breast Cancer banner (photo below) and then doing a wonderful job cooking the sausages for lunch and to Ian for taking the photo below too.

Special thanks to Julie Nolo (Bendigo Bank) who generously donated 2 hampers, 8 beanies & some golf balls for the day. As Julie is now managing the Dromana branch as well as Rye & Rosebud we hope to see Julie playing more often, especially as Julie has quite an affinity with Safety Beach.

Results for the 9 and 18 hole events which were both Ambrose (either 3 person or 4 person drop out) are below:
